GALA & WORKSHOP SCHEDULE:
SPECIAL CLASS EXTRAVAGANZAS:

After class dances with Rachel, and a glass of port...
6:30-8:30 Leaders Technique (Followers interested in leader technique are invited)
Leaders’ technique tools for reaching a harmonious and fluid tango with the follower - from the point of view of follower, by understanding follower moves and reactions - we will work on turns, circular moves, and change of directions. Also leading the double time, transmitting slow versus fast moves, perfecting different dynamics and flow.

Chocolate, wine, and good conversation after this farewell session!
Bring both practice shoes (like jazz or soft sneakers) and normal tango shoes with heel
6:30-8:30 Followers Technique (Leaders interested in follower technique are invited)
Feel more comfortable and confident with your dance as a follower. Be more present, elegant and sensual, and have a better and quicker reaction and response to leading. During the course we will work on technique aspects of the dance as a follower -- always in respect to the lead. The material is presented in two segments:
Part 1
How to reach an elegant and comfortable posture
Finding your axis, balance, center
Freedom and relaxation of the legs – disassociation
Footwork
Walking - technique
Part 2
Technique of ochos – different directions - disassociation and pivot
Boleos - technique of back and forward boleos
Turns – “el molinette” – technique and rhythm
Embellishments: Different adornos for different moments (the pausa, rhythm, music…) – rulo, punteo, lapis and many more - not only how but also where and when, how to dance the silence, as well as the musical interpretation of adornos.

GLOWING REVIEWS:
Definitely one of the best teachers I’ve ever encountered. She was exceptional in teaching not only figures, but also the principles of how these figures are mere creative insertions in the context of other basic figures…
Erika, Vancouver
I feel I learned more than all the other classes together the last year. Hope to see you and work with you again when you're back! Judith Wellner
That was an AWESOME followers' technique class, Rachel. I loved those planeo-enrosque-caracia-lapiz exercises. And you provide such perfect examples it is difficult to forget!
